Racing for Parkinson’s: Where Track Passion Meets Purpose
At TrackReady, we know the thrill of the green flag, the feel of a well sorted out car, and the focus it takes to nail every corner. But for Devon Bain, racing isn’t just about lap times anymore—it’s about driving for something bigger.

When Devon’s father, Bill “Gramps” Bain, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2021, everything changed. Bill had been a long-time track enthusiast and losing the ability to race was a heavy blow. Devon decided if his dad couldn’t be on the track, he’d take the wheel for both of them, using motorsports as a way to fight back the disease.
Turning the Grid into Something Bigger
That’s how Racing for Parkinson’s was born. Devon, Bill, and Heather (the team’s marketing strategist) have transformed race weekends into fundraising engines for the Michael J. Fox Foundation.
The concept is simple: take the energy, camaraderie, and competitive spirit we all love in motorsports, and channel it into raising awareness and money for Parkinson’s research. Each event pushes the cause one lap closer to a cure.
How You Can Join the Race

The momentum matters. Here’s how to keep it going:
- Attend an event – Be there trackside, meet the team, and show your support.
- Donate directly – Contributions go to the Michael J. Fox Foundation’s research efforts.
- Spread the word – Share the story with your club, crew, or online racing community.

One Lap at a Time
At TrackReady, we believe every driver, fan, and crew member has the power to make a difference. Racing for Parkinson’s is proof that the same determination that shaves seconds off a lap can also help accelerate medical breakthroughs.

Because in the end, it’s not just about crossing the finish line—it’s about getting there together.
